「Test Class: The Big Bang Theory」

Hi everyone!
Growing up in an Canada allowed me to be always be exposed to an English environment, whether it was food, culture, or the media. One of the things that doesn't get recognized often are the TV shows we watch has a lot of current pop-culture related words and slang that help us with our listening and comprehension skills. Watching and talking about shows help make learning a language much more fun and interesting!
In terms of materials to prepare, both the teacher and student will watch an episode of the extremely popular and very funny American TV show, "The Big Bang Theory 生活大爆炸" (only 20 minutes per episode, and I will provide a link where you can watch it with English and Chinese subtitles). The students will take some brief notes as they watch while thinking about the ideas and topics noted below. We will then have a fun discussion about the episode in class to practice our English. The goal of this test class is to see if people are interested in this format, and if so, we can continue to discuss a new episode once a week!
